13 to 13.1: Week 2 Recap

Well, the half marathon is officially a no-go for Paul. With all he has going on in his first quarter of school, it's just too much. Maybe he can train with me next summer for the Disneyland Half Marathon in early September, 2010. This time around, he'll be the official photographer/cheering section/stuff holder.

My training is still going, though. I wasn't quite as on-track this week as I was last week, but I still think it's a solid week of training. Mostly, I just mixed up the workouts a little. My week went like this:

(The first part is what the training program indicates I should be doing. What I actually did is in parenthesis)

Monday: Stretch and Strengthen (40 minute pilates workout on Netflix)
Tuesday: 3 mile run (2.66 mile power walk with Paul and Obie - Wednesday's cross-train workout)
Wednesday: 2 mile run or cross train (I was lazy and took Wednesday off)
Thursday: 3 mile run + strength (3.25 miles - 32:17, Tuesday's workout)
Friday: Rest (2.77 miles - 27:45 + 25 pushups and 50 crunches, Thursday's workout)
Saturday: 30 minutes cross-train (I took Saturday off, too. Oops!)
Sunday: 4 mile run (4.04 - 41:16)

So, not the best, but certainly not the worst, either. I had a rough week motivation-wise, but I'm trying to shake off that funk and get back on track (both with regards to the workouts and other things). Now, I need to go finish cleaning. I definitely work better in a clean house!
